HOW TO ENTER

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize is open to all emerging, mid-career and established drawing practitioners from the UK, and internationally.

Up to three drawings may be registered by each applicant for consideration by the Selection Panel.

Accepted works can be in any medium. We do not specify what media work should be made in as the nature of the exhibition is to generate debate about contemporary drawing practice. Therefore work in any media is eligible for entry, if the maker considers it as drawing. Whilst debate about contemporary drawing practice is encouraged, the decision of the Selection Panel is final and binding.

Before registration artists are asked to carefully read the Rules & Guidelines, and will be asked to confirm acceptance of these during the online entry process.

Please note the final selection is not made from digital images.

If you are entering from outside the UK and your work is longlisted, you will be contacted and advised of the details of the later shortlisting stage for international submissions.

ENTRY FEES

Applicants may submit up to three drawings in total. Entry fees are listed below.

Submission Fees

Standard Entry: 1 work = £20; 2 works = £30; 3 works = £40

Student Entry: 1 work = £15; 2 works = £20; 3 works = £25

SUBMISSION OF WORK

STAGE 1: ONLINE REGISTRATION & ENTRY PROCESS
Please complete online registration for the works you wish to submit.  Online registration closes at 5pm on Wednesday
24 June 2020.

Please ensure that you have uploaded your images and details of the works being submitted by 5pm on 24 June 2020. After this point you will not be able to make any changes.

Applicants wishing to submit moving images please insert the URL and any password if required.  Entrants are requested not to include their name on the film for viewing by the selectors as all images are viewed without the maker’s names or other detail.

After payment has been made and online registration completed, each applicant will be provided with a unique reference number in their confirmation email that will need to be included on the Work Submission Form and Work Labels at the longlist stage.

At the time of online registration, applicants are required to select their collection region for the submission of their work and the return of their work should it not be selected. Further details about hand in venues and dates will be given to you upon notification of the first stage results.

If you are entering from outside the UK and your work is longlisted, you will be contacted and advised of the details of the later shortlisting stage for international submissions.

STAGE 2: SELECTION OF LONGLISTED WORKS & DELIVERY OF WORKS

The Selection Panel will review all drawings submitted for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2020 online, and will longlist works to be delivered to Trinity Buoy Wharf for the final selection process. Entrants will be notified if their drawings are longlisted by 3 July 2020.

If your work is longlisted, you will be notified of when and where to deliver it. A Work Submission Form and Work Label must be completed, available on the Download/Links. Work labels should be completed and attached securely to the back top right hand corner of each work.

Please note that there is no additional charge for use of collection points.

STAGE 3: NOTIFICATION OF THE SELECTION PANEL’S FINAL DECISION

All applicants will be informed by email of the outcome of the Selection Process by 6pm on Wednesday 15 July 2020. The email will be from tbwdp@parkerharris.co.uk. In addition, the Work Numbers of selected works will appear in the General Info section of this website.

Work Numbers can be found on the Submission Receipt, which artists will receive when handing in your work.

If email notification has not been received by 6pm Wednesday 15 July 2020, or your Work Number does not appear on the list of selected works, your work has not been selected and will therefore need to be collected from your nominated Collection Centre. If you do not receive an email or you are unable to view the accepted list online, please contact the Project Manager, Parker Harris by telephone on 020 3653 0896 or by email at tbwdp@parkerharris.co.uk

The selected exhibition will consist of works that in the opinion of the Selection Panel qualify as drawings. The decision of the Selection Panel is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
